Language Pedagogy, Assessment & Technology Workshop

The Center for the Study of Global Change, the Center for Language Technology and Instructional Enrichment (CeLTIE), the Department of Second Language Studies (SLS), and the Inner Asian and Uralic National Resource Center are sponsoring the Annual Language Pedagogy, Assessment, and Technologies Workshop for Less Commonly Taught Language instructors on August 18-19 and 24. The first two days will emphasize language pedagogies, instructional methodologies, and assessment. Dr. Kelly Sax, Senior Lecturer and Director of French Language Instruction at Indiana University Bloomington and specialist in foreign language pedagogy, applied linguistics, and sociolinguistics, will be the lead instructor. The third day (afternoon only) will focus on relevant instructional technologies at CeLTIE.

This is a free workshop and is open to all interested individuals, though space is limited. It will be a superb introduction to language instruction methodologies and pedagogical issues, or a refresher and review of various teaching methodologies and resources for language instructors.
