History
In 1997, educators working for The Choices Program at Brown University launched the Capitol Forum on America's Future (Capitol Forum) program with the objective of supporting international education and civic engagement. Since then, Capitol Forum programs have been provided for high school students and teachers in 13 different states across the country.
Capitol Forum has been offered in Indiana since academic year 2002-2003, when the Center for the Study of Global Change (Global Center) at Indiana University began administering the program as part of its K-12 educational outreach efforts. Through academic year 2008-2009, the Global Center and CFI sponsors have served approximately 50 teachers and 2,000 students from 25 schools (public, charter, private, parochial, urban, suburban, and rural) across the entire state.
