International Festival of Indiana

The annual International Festival of Indiana is a four-day event held at the State Fair Grounds in Indianapolis in November during International Education Week. The festival celebrates Indiana's diversity of culture and ethnic heritage, featuring culture booths hosted by volunteers in traditional dress, authentic foods, artisans demonstrating unique cultural crafts, a Naturalization Ceremony, an International Bazaar, and ongoing ethnic music and dance. The first two days are always dedicated to groups of K-12 students and their teachers. The International Festival is the signature event of the Nationalities Council of Indiana, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to education, communication, and cultural exchange. The Global Center is a partner in creating and staffing educational activities throughout the Festival, for both students and the general public.
