Lotus World Music And Art Festival
Indiana University Global Education Pavilion

Begun in 1994, the Lotus World Music and Art Festival is an annual four-day extravaganza of live musical and movement performances by individuals and groups from across the globe, held in multiple venues around Bloomington, IN, in early Fall. On the Saturday afternoon of the Festival is the free, open-to-the-public "Lotus in the Park," offering musical performances on the open stage and activity tents for making shakers, batiking banners, and face painting international masks. The Global Center sponsors the "IU Global Education Pavilion", a 200-person tent in which everyone in attendance is taught different international music, instruments, and vocal techniques.
