Did you know that illegal trafficking in humans is the 2nd most profitable international trade, coming in above illegal drugs? This isn't just a problem that happens "over there", but has been documented in Midwestern cities and is certainly a possibility right here in Indiana. Explore the history of global human trafficking with Global Migration specialist and activist Stepanka Korytova, Ph.D. and Middle Way House legal advocate Julie McGinnis, J.D. to learn about U.S. and Indiana legislation regarding human trafficking and what communities can do to bring about eradication.
The Global Issues Discussion Series is presented through a partnership between the IU Center for the Study of Global Change and Monroe County Public Library (MCPL) Adult Programs.
