Visiting Scholars


Carolyn Nordstrom
Carolyn Nordstrom gave a public lecture, "Global Fractures, Cyber-Sovereignty, and Wild-Card Powers: Windows on the World's Tomorrows" on January 26, 2012, while in Bloomington as a Visiting Scholar for Framing the Global. She is Professor of Anthropology at the University of Notre Dame and a Faculty Fellow at the Kellogg Institute for International Studies. Professor Nordstrom also met with the Framing the Global Fellows, faculty, students, staff during her visit to campus.

In September 2011, Saskia Sassen, as the first Visiting Scholar for Framing the Global, met with Fellows, students, faculty, and staff. She also presented a public lecture, "Beyond national versus global: Emergent assemblages of territory, authority and rights."
