Travel Grants


The Center has limited funds to assist faculty members with travel to present papers at academic conferences or for Center-related activities. Awards range from $200 to $500 and can be used either for domestic or overseas travel. If traveling abroad, the Center must also receive permission to extend funds from the U.S. Department of Education. Grant recipients must provide their travel information to the Center prior to ticket purchase and at least thirty days in advance of departure. All flights much adhere to the Fly America Act (see pages 35-41).

To apply for a Travel Grant, simply write a letter to the Director which explains the purpose of your travel, travel costs, and planned itinerary. There is no formal application form and applications are accepted and reviewed year round. For more information, please contact the Center.

Unfortunately, the Center cannot provide Travel Grants to graduate students.
