Since 1996, the Center for the Study of Global Change and the Office of the Vice President for International Affairs have offered summer institutes, including the two-week residential International Studies Summer Institute (ISSI) for Middle and High School Teachers.
Participants to ISSI have enjoyed a wide range of activities, including interactive video links to England, Poland, South Africa, the Republic of Georgia, Namibia, and many other places. Participants have also participated in simulation exercises, small group activities, and global education seminars. In addition, participants enjoyed cultural events around Bloomington.
