|
The introduction to Indiana in the World (2nd edition, 2000) states: "Indiana's citizens need to be well informed about our state's role in the international arena, and students need to prepare themselves for a future that will be influenced greatly by world affairs." Designed for use in middle and high school classrooms, the 14 teacher-designed lessons are organized around four themes: "The World in Your Community," "Indiana's Resources, Goods, and Services," "Interdependence," and "Transitions," concluding with a "Global Education Resources" section.
Download or print individual lessons in PDF or Word formats. Check out Indiana's current academic standards for social studies, world languages, and other subjects. Learn from Indiana teachers how you might create an international culture fair or start a diversity club at your school.
