This Web site shows the achievements of approximately forty Nobel Peace Laureates by including primary and secondary documents, bibliographies and related links for each laureate, from Frederic Passy in 1901, through the International Atomic Energy Agency and Mohamed ElBaradei in 2005.
The site is divided into three eras, The Peace Movement, The League of Nations, and the United Nations, with each Laureate placed in the proper timeframe. For each Laureate there is a profile with timeline, bibliography, and relevant documents, such as manuscripts, correspondence, photographs, images, reports, addresses. It includes a searchable database of documents.
This site is the result of collaboration between the League of Nations Archives, The Center for the Study of Global Change, and Indiana University Libraries to digitize original League photos. All originals of the photos are held with the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) Library, League of Nations Archives Sub-Unit and are its property. Any other use of the photos on this website, including but not limited to commercial or scholarly reproductions, redistribution, publication or transmission, whether by electronic means or otherwise, without prior written permission and authorization from the United Nations Office at Geneva (UNOG) Library is strictly prohibited.
