Sheldon Gellar is a Visitng Scholar in the Workshop in Political Theory and Policy Analysis (Political Science Department) His interests are Africa, democracy, development, political economy, decentralization, civil society, natural resource management, religion and politics, Tocquevillian analytics, and institutional analysis. He has a B.A. in English at Rutgers University, M.A. at Institut d'Etudes Politiques, and Ph.D. in Comparitive Government at Columbia University.
