Daniel B. Reed Is Associate Professor in the Department of Folklore and Ethnomusicology and Director of the Ethnomusicology Institute at Indiana University. His research interests include diaspora, immigration, transnationalism and performance. He is currently working on a book manuscript on music, dance and mobility in the lives of four immigrants from Côte d'Ivoire living in the United States. Courses recently taught include West African Music, Music in African Life, and Global Pop Music.
