Cheryl Cottine is a PhD candidate in the Religious Studies department who does comparative religious ethics with a focus on early Confucian ethics. Her dissertation, "Roles, Relations, and Chinese Ethics," draws on early Confucian insights about the significance and nature of various roles in order to develop a theory of role ethics that speaks to contemporary times. As someone who delights in thinking cross culturally, Cheryl brings to her position as the IOC coordinator a passion for increasing cultural literacy.
