Michelle Henderson is the Project Coordinator for the Global Learning Across Indiana Initiative, which is a partnership between the Center for the Study of Global Change and Ivy Tech Community College. The project involves the integration of global learning outcomes and Arabic language instruction across Ivy Tech's 14 regions in Indiana. Michelle began her career in the field of cross-cultural psychology at the Osgood Laboratory for Cross-Cultural Research in Indianapolis. She then taught at an international elementary school in Los Angeles and earned a master's degree in Teaching English as a Second Language. Michelle spent a year in France earning an International Relations certificate from the University of Strasbourg, and has traveled to Europe, Africa, India, Southeast Asia, and the South Pacific region. While earning a doctorate in curriculum studies with a minor in international/comparative education, Michelle worked as an associate instructor for the Cultural Immersion Projects at Indiana University. Her research interests include social justice education, international education, service-learning, and critical literacy.
