Naomi Spector is the Coordinator of the "Bridges: Children, Languages, World" program. In collaboration with Monroe County Public Library and the Language Education Department at IU-Bloomington's School of Education, she oversees the development of K-12 language programs that focus on critical and world languages. Bridges currently offers Arabic and Chinese language programs for preschool through age seven populations at Monroe County Public Library's Preschool Education Center. In her former position as Assistant Outreach Coordinator for the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures and Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies Program, Naomi created and implemented community initiatives such as Bloomington's Annual Middle Eastern Arts Festival and NELC-MEISP at the Indiana State Fair. Naomi is currently a doctoral student in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Cultures, specializing in Middle Eastern Literatures.
