Deborah Piston-Hatlen is the Program Coordinator for the Framing the Global project. She is also currently the book review editor for the journal Studies in Second Language Acquisition. She has spent several years living in France, both as a student and a teacher, and has been involved in international education for much of her life. She previously held positions with the Creole Institute/Committee for Research and Development in Language Instruction and West European Studies at Indiana University, Bloomington, and is a co-editor of two books.
