"One of the most important things in my life is my family. When I first arrived at Indiana University, it was very difficult for me to be away from them. I made many new friends, but I always missed my family. Although they were not around, I met a couple of ladies from Gamma Phi Omega that made me feel like I was home. They were genuine ladies that made me feel welcome and often invited me to spend time with them. These ladies gave me advice and honestly cared about me. As I got to know them better, I realized that Gamma Phi Omega was the sorority I wanted to be a part of. After becoming a member, I found that the bond the ladies shared was much closer than I thought. It is not enough to say that we are sorority sisters. We are part of a family that truly loves and cares for one another. They are sisters I can always count on and will be with me forever."
