African Students Research Fund- Deadline for submission: 24th February, 2012

The IU African Students Research fund has been established to assist Indiana University-Bloomington graduate students who are African nationals with research or writing leading to the Ph.D. Minor or the master’s degree in African Studies.  The African Studies Program is offering up to two awards in 2012.  The maximum amount of the award is $3,000.

To apply please send a short proposal (2-3 pages double-spaced) outlining: (1) the research to be conducted and its time line or the writing to be accomplished; (2) how the research or writing relates to the master’s thesis or doctoral dissertation as a whole; (3) other funding received or applied for; and (4) anticipated completion date of the thesis or dissertation and name of committee chair. The proposal should be accompanied by a budget statement indicating use of the requested funds and a short CV.  Please send proposals and supporting materials to:
