Funding for Grad School: Fall 2012 Orientation Sessions

Save the date! If your department is planning new student orientation activities, consider incorporating one of these GGC presentations into your schedule:

    • August 16 (Thursday): 4pm – 5pm, Fine Arts 102
    • August 17 (Friday): 1pm – 2pm, Fine Arts 102
    • August 31 (Friday): 12pm – 1pm, Woodburn Hall 120

These sessions will introduce incoming graduate students to funding opportunities at IU and give them tools for finding and winning external funding for all stages of graduate study. For a number of prestigious, multi-year awards, students are only eligible during their first year, and we want your students to know about these opportunities in time to apply. If your program’s orientation schedule conflicts with these times, contact us to have a GGC consultant meet with your students (incoming or continuing) later in the year.

No registration is necessary. Locations will be announced in the summer–check back in for updates and details and please share this announcement with your incoming students.

We also offer regular workshops throughout the year on using our funding databases and writing competitive grant proposals. See the Workshops page for upcoming GGC events.
