The American Association of University Women (AAUW) has a long and distinguished history of advancing educational and professional opportunities for women in the United States and around the globe. One of the world’s largest sources of funding for graduate women, AAUW is providing more than $4.3 million for 278 fellowships and grants to outstanding women and nonprofit organizations in the 2012–13 academic year.
We want to encourage women graduate students to apply for our generous fellowships and grants, especially AAUW Selected Professions Fellowships. These awards help women pursue graduate and professional degrees in designated fields in which women traditionally have been underrepresented and in which the employment outlook and earnings potential are strong.
Fellowships in architecture, computer and information sciences, engineering, and mathematics and statistics are currently available to women who are in various stages of their graduate training. And because women of color are still underrepresented in some promising professions, fellowships for business administration, law, and medicine have been available exclusively to women of color since 1991. AAUW is dedicated to encouraging gender and cultural diversity in all of these fields.
If you’re interested and qualify, we encourage you to apply today.
