University Human Resources is seeking a Graduate Assistant to conduct a two year research and analysis project related to evaluating and improving the level of financial literacy of IU’s graduate students.
This project is funded by the TIAA-CREF Institute and the target audience would be approximately 8,000 graduate students across Indiana University. Suggested research will involve measuring and analyzing financial literacy results from education as well as the impact of framing the concept of lifetime savings for a sample of the group. This project may include a cross-disciplinary approach with TIAA-CREF Institute fellows from other Institutions including Ohio State University.
Successful candidates will have previous project management experience; possess strong organizational skills; and have previous experience with databases such as Excel or Access. Applicants should have previous survey experience; understanding of basic research design experience; and currently pursuing a graduate degree at Indiana University. The expectation is that this position will work 15-20 hours per week; remuneration includes a $1,400 monthly stipend ($14,000 annual equivalent over 10 months) and
health insurance. This position reports to the Associate Vice President of University Human Resources and the University Director, Retirement Programs.
