(FILLED) GA Islamic Studies Program

Islamic Studies Program Graduate Assistant, 2014-2015 Academic Year
The Indiana University Islamic Studies Program (ISP) invites applications from IU graduate students for a graduate assistant (GA) position for the 2014-2015 academic year.
The GA will work in the ISP office on a variety of projects related to the mission of the ISP. Much of this work is clerical in nature, and includes collecting data from IU websites, processing incoming fellowship applications, engaging in ISP correspondence, and so on. We thus expect the GA to have excellent communication skills; a solid knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.); and an ability to work alongside the ISP program manager and the ISP director. In addition to clerical duties, the GA may also be asked to help with ISP events on and off campus.
The GA will work 20 hours per week, from August 25, 2014, until May 2, 2015. The GA position includes a stipend, a partial fee remission, and health insurance.
Because the GAship is within the Islamic Studies Program, it is expected that the GA will have scholarly interests in Islam and the Muslim world as part of his or her graduate studies.
To be considered for the GA position, please email a CV and a cover letter to the ISP program manager, Robert Crouch (rocrouch@indiana.edu). Please include the name and email address of one person who can act as your referee if called upon to do so.
