The Department of Gender Studies is currently seeking to hire Associate Instructors to fill open positions during the 2017-18 academic year. At the moment, we anticipate needing to fill several positions in GNDR G101, “Gender, Culture and Society.” Those who are hired will teach two 25-person sections of G101 each term using a common syllabus developed by the supervising faculty member. AIs will also be required to attend a one-hour course planning meeting each week.
Although most of the available positions will span the entire academic year, we will consider applications from qualified candidates who are only available to teach during the fall term. Ideally, applicants should have some prior teaching experience and a demonstrated scholarly interest in gender and/or sexuality.
G101 AI-ships include a stipend of at least $15,750 for the 2017-18 academic year, as well as fee remission and university-sponsored health insurance.
Please submit a brief cover letter describing your qualifications and a CV to email@example.com. Review of applications will begin on June 19, 2017, and continue until all positions are filled.
Questions regarding the nature of these positions or the application process should be directed to Dr. Colin R. Johnson, Director of Graduate Studies and the supervising faculty member for G101 during the fall term, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
