 Position: Graduate Research Assistant
Employer: Center on American and Global Security (CAGS)


  • Ph.D. Candidates only (ABD)
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Solid research skills
  • Some interest in and knowledge of matters in international security strongly preferred

Compensation: Stipend equivalent to an Assistant Instructor (AI) position (no tuition remission offered)

Availability: This position is for Fall 2016 with the possibility for renewal for Spring 2017

Hours: 20h/week required


Responsibilities: The CAGS Graduate Assistant position encompasses various responsibilities including research, assistance with publication projects, and providing programmatic support. The primary role is to assist the CAGS director, Dr. Sumit Ganguly, in his research activities in the field of security studies. Additionally, the G.A. assists in the planning, promotion, and execution of the lecture series, panel discussions, and research symposiums hosted by CAGS each semester. As needed, the GA also supports CAGS staff in drafting grant proposals.
