COAS Dissertation Year Fellowship
The fellowship winner will receive $15,000 (with no fee scholarship, since winners are expected to devote full time to work on the dissertation or thesis) to support work leading to the completition of a dissertation or MFA thesis.
An application includes:
- a cover memo from the Director of Graduate Studies in your department
- the nomination form
- a brief description of the research, or creative project, and its importance (the description should be no more than one-page long, single-spaced)
- two letters of recommendation (one from the director of the dissertation or thesis).
Applicants must be formally admitted to Ph.D candidacy by March 3, 2003 to apply.
Selection criteria include demonstrated academic excellence, proposed use of fellowship funds, and potential for significant research contributions.
Awards will be announced in April.
