GPSO Spring 2003 Travel Grant

The GPSO Travel Grant is an award of up to $300 for graduate and professional students at Indiana University - Bloomington to help support travel expenses to conferences at which the student's work will be presented (orally or by poster) or to help support travel to workshops/special training that will benefit the student professionally.

Funds may be used for registration fees, presentation materials, transportation, and lodging/food associated with the conference/workshop. This award is not intended to fund research.

Consideration for Spring Travel Grants will be given for conferences/workshops occurring between January and July, 2003. Retroactive funding for conferences/workshops that occurred before January 2003 will not be given. Priority will be given to conference travel outside the Midwest region. Fall Travel Grants will be given for conferences/workshops occurring between August and December, 2003.

Deadlines: Please submit all materials to the GPSO by Friday, February 28, 2002. Applicants will be notified of the award results via e-mail no later than Monday, March 10th, 2003.

How To Apply: To apply for the GPSO Travel Grant, complete the online application form. Also, please submit ONE paper copy. Print a blank application form (MS Word) and include this paper application with the remaining materials below. These materials should be sent via campus mail to the GPSO:

  • Completed paper application
  • Photocopied documentation of acceptance from the organization sponsoring the conference or workshop. If confirmation is pending, please provide a statement indicating when you expect to receive confirmation.
  • A one-page abstract of the paper, poster, presentation, or workshop
  • Faculty reference letter
