The Best Thing About Being a Graduate Student at IUB:
The price! Graduate school is expensive either way but IUB offers a high standard of education mixed with world-class faculty at an unbeatable price. I have never once felt as though I was less than any of my professors as they have all welcomed my feedback and remarks. It’s as if I am equal with my professors which makes building genuine relationships much easier.

Insider tip about living in Bloomington:
Find your entertainment niche. When I’m stressed or have a lot going on, I just want to get away from it all or find some good entertainment to immerse myself in (this does not mean sitting on the couch watching tv for me). I like to get out, see shows, try new things and while at first glance it may not seem that way, Bloomington offers a lot of that! I’ve gone to a Reggae concert, eaten at some really great local ethnic restaurants, and have seen some breathtaking sights (especially in the Fall and Spring when everything is beautiful). The availability of all of this has helped keep me sane while being so far away from home and having to handle a busy work/school schedule.
