·         Selected to intern for INPIRG a non-profit/partisan organization and created an effective grassroots campaign

·         Picked an important piece legislation of public concern concentrating around the preservation of the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and Tongass Forest Preserve.

·         Presented the campaign to important decision makers and congress members in Washington, DC to lobby to remove revenues from the national budget.

·         Examined whether kin relationships in the dependence on the nuclear family rather than the extended family
