"Not a Retreat But a Forward"

IU AGEP's annual grant writing workshop for graduate students

AGEP sponsors an annual opportunity for graduate students to learn how to write grant proposals for scientific research. "Not a Retreat But a Forward" brings Bloomington and Indianapolis students together with faculty and administrators for a day-long workshop on finding funding sources, proposing research projects, writing grant applications and more.

Sessions from past "Not a Retreats" include "Funding: types and tools", "Basics of grantwriting" and "Creating my personalized funding alerts". Material is presented by IU faculty and administrators. Session titles and presenters along with participant feedback are available for the 2008 and 2009 events.

"Not a Retreat But a Forward" will be offered again in January 2010. Check back in late 2009 for the date and location.
