Graduate Schools of Midwest Crossroads Alliance Universities:

Indiana University has long been committed to helping its students earn a Ph.D. degree and enter the professoriate. One of our goals - and the goal of AGEP - is to significantly increase the numbers of under-represented minority faculty, investigators and students particularly in the sciences, mathematics and technology, by providing graduate study and research opportunities to scientists from minority populations, and by enhancing outreach efforts.

To accomplish this goal, the University Graduate School, in partnership with the College of Arts and Sciences, School of Informatics, School of Public and Environmental Affairs, School of Library and Information Sciences, School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation, School of Optometry, School of Education and other support programs seek to facilitate and promote comprehensive and innovative interventions that include greater emphasis upon the recruitment, retention, training and mentorship of minority scientists with institutional support as well as NSF, NIH or other extramural research support.
