MFA Painting, Metals, Graphic Design, and Textiles Area programs

The School of Fine Arts (SoFA) Gallery at Indiana University is pleased to announce upcoming student exhibits which will feature artworks created by IU Fine Arts students in the MFA Painting & the Metals, Graphic Design, Ceramics, Textiles, Sculpture, Photography, Digital Art (DART) & Printmaking area programs. An Opening Reception will accompany each exhibit, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on the Friday after it opens to the public. Students help plan the exhibits and install their artworks.
Master of Fine Arts students in the Painting program will present observational paintings, landscapes, figurative paintings, and works in new, experimental mediums, from February 1-11, 2011. Bachelor of Fine Arts and Master of Fine Arts students in the Graphic Design, Textiles, and Metals will present their artworks from February 1-11, 2011. Artworks on display will include various multi-media, posters, product designs, books, jewelry, hollowware, small metals objects, and work utilizing non-traditional styles and techniques, and various handcrafted textiles. An Opening Reception for the exhibit will be held on Friday, February 4, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm.
