Chapter Publicity Committee
The IU Habitat Chapter Publicity Committee is an integral part of
Habitat for Humanity. Habitat depends on its volunteers in order to
thrive and the publicity committee gets the word out about our
chapter as a whole.
Some people volunteer, particularly as team leaders, because it
looks great on a resume, some do it because they want to give back
to the community, and some do it because they just want to get out
and do something different. Whatever your reason, we need team
leaders and team members!
Structure of the Chapter Publicity Committee

- Chapter Publicity is split into three different teams:
Awareness, Appearance, and Advertising.
- Each team has a leader and various amounts of publicity
committee members.
- The leaders and the director will have weekly meetings to keep
everything organized and in sync. The leaders will then
communicate with their teams in any effective manner they decide
upon.
- The director will attend all team functions.
- At the beginning of each semester, there will be leader
openings and people can volunteer for the position. Some teams
will require more responsibility then others.
- All decisions requiring money will be signed off by director
before allowed to go through.
