Major Events Committee

The Major Events Committee help several annual benefits held to raise money for the construction of a Habitat home. Because these events are so large, including the 5K Walk/Run, Spring Break trips, Rake-a-Thon, and others), a committee of volunteers has been created to help us organize these events. We need to form a strong, reliable committee full of people willing to give their time and put forth the effort necessary to make this race a success.

Committee members help with numerous aspects of the organization of the race, such as:

• gathering sponsors, donations, and grants
   
• designing catchy flyers, ads, and our race t-shirt
   
• publicizing events throughout campus and surrounding areas
   
• supplying innovative, new ideas that will improve events
   
• supplying innovative, new ideas that will attract more participants
   
• helping the day of various events

This committee will prove to be a fun, fulfilling way to help our campus chapter of Habitat in our efforts to end poverty housing.
