Event Publicity Committee
The
event publicity committee works with the chapter publicity committee
to spread the word about what IU Habitat for Humanity is doing to
better improve the Bloomington Community. As we are the events
publicity committee, our focus is to attract volunteers and
participants to our major fundraising events. Those events are:
- Homecoming (October 19th)
- Rake-A-Thon (October 27th-28th, November 3rd-4th)
- Bucket 100 (November 16th-17th)
- Spring Break (TBA)
- 5K run/walk (TBA)
MEETINGS:
We are holding meetings every two weeks due to the large amount of
publicity needed for upcoming events. They are on Thursdays at 7:15
in the Wright food court.
COMMITTEE NEWS:
We have held our second meeting now and have several ads for
Rake-A-Thon. Thank you to Susie Diebold, Laura Reynolds, Heidi
Elking, Jamie Cook, and Maria Miller for your lovely ads! We also
came up with an ad for the Bucket 100!
UPCOMING EVENTS:
-October 10th: CHALKING!
We will be meeting in room 475 of the Student Activities Tower in
the IMU to chalk our website all over campus in anticipation of our
Mass meeting next week as well as Rake-A-Thon! Come and enjoy an
hour with us.
-October 15th: FLIERING!
We will be meeting again in room 475 of the Student Activities Tow
in the IMU to cover campus with fliers in anticipation of our Mass
meeting! We will give you all the fliers and locations as well
as....STAPLE GUNS!!! Come and join us for as long as you can.
-October 17th: MASS MEETING!!! Bring friends, enjoy hearing about
upcoming events! We will be meeting in WH120 at 8pm.
-October 18th: Committee Meeting:
Hear about all that the publicity committee is doing. We will be
going over the ads for Bucket 100 and making signs for the upcoming
Homecoming Parade!!!!
-October 19th: HOMECOMING PARADE!!!!
Be a part of homecoming and walk with us in the parade! We will be
wearing the shirts seen below as well as nail pouches from site and
carrying tools and rakes. (think Extreme Makeover: Home Edition on
abc) Bring whomever, member or not and enjoy being a part of the IU
Homecoming celebration!
-October 27-28 and November 3-4: RAKE-A-THON
Come play in the leaves with us as we rake lawns in the area for
