Publicity Committee
For the Spring 2010 Semester the Publicity Committee will be meeting every other Monday at 6:15 pm in the Habitat Office located on the 4th floor of the IMU Student Activities Tower starting Monday February 1. This semester we are excited to be using new methods for advertising that will be both more efficient and more fun than the techniques used in previous years. Advertising will be done for the Annual Habitat 5k Run/Walk that will take place on Sat. March 27, Workcite and Restore Volunteer Days, Mass Meetings, Spring Break Trips, and the IU Campus Chapter of Habitat for Humanity.
The IU Habitat Publicity Committee is a very crucial part of the Habitat for Humanity organization as a whole. Habitat depends on its volunteers in order to thrive, and the publicity committee gets the word out. Reasons to join the event publicity committee:
- It is a great place to make new friends and hang out with old friends.
- Meetings are optional and late arrivers are always welcome! This is a perfect organization for busy individuals!
- It is a great way to positively impact the lives of others in the Indiana University and Monroe County Communities
Some people volunteer their time because it looks great on a resume, some do it because they want to give back to the community, and some do it because they just want to get out and do something different. Whatever your reason, volunteering for the IU chapter of Habitat is a great choice! And what better way to do it than by being on the Publicity Committee! To become a member all you have to do is show up!
