Collegiate Challenge Trips
We are happy to announce that our trip details have been finalized for Spring Break 2013 and we will be having trips to 3 different locations this year:
Blue Water, MI
Price: $275 + $30 deposit
Spots: 5 People
Housing: Church
Description: “Blue Water Habitat for Humanity was founded in 1990 by a small group of volunteers. It covers both St. Clair and Sanilac counties (a short drive from metro Detroit). The area lies on the southern tip of Lake Huron and along the whole of the St. Clair River, offering plenty of shoreline. The area has been hit with years of manufacturing losses, but is still full of hope.”
Putnam County, TN
Price: $300 + $30 deposit
Spots: 10 People
Housing: Church
Description: “Come and enjoy beautiful Middle Tennessee in the spring! With warm days and cool nights, your group will enjoy brisk walks to the job site as you work with a homeowner to build their house and a future. Imagine five days and six nights with breathtaking views, helping others in need and learning about making a difference in our world. Stay in a church youth building with a kitchen and classrooms for privacy. Lovely accommodations include living room setting and a ping pong table. Great southern hospitality and food will keep your group coming back.”
Washington D.C.
Price: $525 + $50 deposit
Spots: 5 People

Description: “Come experience the most influential city in the U.S.A while helping those who are native to DC. This site will give you the chance to build Passive House homes, that are the next "green" building technique that saves our home buyers up to 90% on their utilities. You'll also be able to see the National Monument, White House, Smithsonian and so much more that DC has to offer.”
All transportation will be done by carpooling with rental cars from Bloomington to the destination. Price of gas and transportation has already been included in the total cost. Students going on the trip also have the option of driving their own car.
