Rake-a-Thon

Rakers

The Rake-a-Thon is IU Habitat for Humanity’s annual fundraiser that takes place at the beginning of the holiday season. There is no better way to welcome the holidays than volunteering for the Rake-a-Thon, which involves raking the leaves on homeowners’ yards in the Bloomington and Monroe County community. Homeowners make monetary donations after hard-working and energetic volunteers like you rake their yards!

This year, we will be sending volunteers to homeowners who register to have their yards raked. We will also be sending groups to a few of the major neighborhoods around town to go door to door. This should increase efficiency and we are looking forward to one of the best Rake-a-Thons ever!

The Rake-a-Thon will be on the weekends of November 7th and 8th and November 14th and 15th. You can volunteer for the morning shift of 9am until 1 pm, the afternoon shift of 1pm until 5pm, or both! Lunch will be served between the two shifts.

If you are interested in volunteering you can sign up individually or as a group if you want to work with your friends. E-mail Lindsay Donovan at lmdonova@indiana.edu for more information.

If you are a homeowner and you are interested in having us rake your yard, please e-mail Lindsay at the above address.
