Immunizations and Allergies

The Immunization Department provides vaccines at reasonable prices. Tuberculosis skin testing is also performed here. Registered Nurses with expertise and additional education and certification in immunization staff this area. Measles, mumps, rubella, tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis, hepatitis A & B, chicken pox, meningitis and HPV vaccines are some of the available immunizations. Annually, flu shots are made available prior to the flu season. All students are encouraged to get a flu shot every year. To facilitate this, flu shots are priced as low as possible, are given on a non appointment basis and offered at convenient locations throughout campus.

Allergy shot administration is part of the Immunization Department. The Registered Nurses give allergy shots from the student's personal allergy serum following the specific instructions from the student's private allergist. We need the serum content, dilution, expiration date, injection intervals, dosage, and instructions if late or have had a reaction. Allergy serum can be stored on site in a secure and alarmed refrigerator to insure that the correct temperature is maintained 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
