Hutton Honors CollegeIndiana University Bloomington is soliciting applications and nominations for the position of Dean of the Edward L. Hutton Honors College, a campus-wide unit that reports to the Office of the Provost. The successful candidate will commence his or her duties on July 1, 2008 (when the Interim Dean will be taking a new position in another campus unit) or as soon thereafter as possible. This 12-month position currently carries .50 FTE but could be .75 FTE with this appointment.

Each year the Hutton Honors College recruits high-achieving freshmen to join the community of Hutton Honors College undergraduates, currently numbering approximately 3,800. Hutton Honors College provides honors-level courses and academic advising; Honors Residential Communities within IU Halls of Residences; community service opportunities; extracurricular programming; and an array of scholarships, internship support, and grants for research, creative activity, experience abroad, and other deserving activities. Hutton Honors College offers a General Honors Notation and supports honors work in IU Bloomington schools and departments.
