Freshman Seminar EDUC-U 212

The Hudson & Holland EDUC-U 212 Current Issues in Undergraduate Life (formerly EDUC-X 155) is a 3 credit-hour learning and life skills course. The design of the course is meant to enhance learning experiences and develop skills that are expected to assist freshmen make successful academic, personal, and professional adjustments to college life, Indiana University Bloomington, and beyond.

Particular emphasis is placed on:

  1. Learning and life skills development
  2. Communication (i.e., Critical thinking, research, written and oral arguments and presentation)
  3. Academic enrichment
  4. Career exploration
  5. Self-discovery, leadership, and community building

In addition to a sound educational foundation from IU, the goal is to provide guidance to help each student strive for his/her potential and the inspiration to become a lifelong learner and productive citizen in an ever-changing global society.
