NEWS FROM HILLTOP GARDEN AND NATURE CENTER

Come see our Christmas decor and tour the greenhouses full of ferns, coleus, and fragrant Casa Blanca and Stargazer lilies in bloom.

Hilltop Could Use Your Excess Seeds from Last Year
Hilltop will be collecting seeds for the next several weeks. The collected seeds will be used to create "Seed Starting Kits" for children during a free Spring workshop. We will accept all vegetable, flower, and herb seeds that are less than 3 years old. The seed kits will be assembled into kits by volunteers on Martin Luther King Day, January 19.

Give Us Your Geodes
If you liked the tropical display in 2008, you can look forward to a new and different display for 2009. You can contribute to it if you have geodes sitting around. We can use geodes large and small, open and closed.

CAN DO! Recycling Program

Hilltop Garden and Nature Center now collects used aluminum cans. We take them in to the recycling center for cash to help support the Garden. And it's good for the environment, too. Making a can from recycled aluminum takes a staggering 95 percent less energy than making one from raw materials. Bring in your aluminum cans to Hilltop today.
