Call for papers

Papers are invited in any area of Hispanic Linguistics and Language Acquisition, and in any theoretical or quantitative framework. Papers may be delivered in English, Portuguese or Spanish. Special sessions will be dedicated to language variation in Caribbean Spanish and Pragmatic Variation and L2 Pragmatic Acquisition. Authors may submit up to two abstracts, one individual and one joint.

  • Abstract must be one page in length. (There may be an additional page for references.) The abstract must specify which meeting you wish to present in (Workshop on Caribbean Spanish, Workshop on Pragmatic Variation and L2 Pragmatic Acquisition, and General Session), title of paper, area of research, name, academic affiliation, current and summer address, phone and fax number, e-mail, and audiovisual requests.
  • Abstracts must be submitted through EasyAbstracts (EasyAbs)
  • Abstracts may be included in the body of the e-mail message or as an attachment in one of three formats: WordPerfect, RTF (Rich Text Format) or PDF (Adobe Acrobat).
  • All submissions must be received by May 30, 2010.
