About the People in Human Biology

Human biology, the science of humanity, allows for many diverse disciplinary perspectives and has a myriad of interpretations. Therefore, the Human Biology Program welcomes faculty, students, staff and community members to collaborate with the development of a human biology undergraduate degree program that takes into account the intellectual strengths of our faculty and the 21st century expectations for our students here in Indiana. Together we have developed a curriculum that is unique to IU, representative of faculty and student interests in the human condition, and supportive of the growing interdisciplinary research mission on the Bloomington Campus. Faculty and student participation is essential for the continual development of a curriculum that will be both sustainable and capable of responding to change.
