The Global Seminar brings together faculty members from various disciplines who are working on issues of globalization, broadly defined. Several interested scholars form a core working group and meet on a regular basis, share ideas involving their own work, react to draft papers, an engage in occasional discussions with visiting scholars whose work is of interest to them. The working title of the seminar is: ORGANIZING KNOWLEDGES IN THE CONTEXT OF GLOGALIZATION: KNOWLEDGE SUPERSTRUCTURES. In addition to scholarly papers, the seminar also provides an opportunity for faculty to reflect on that theme from the vantage point of their discipline, school, or department. The seminar meets two or three times each semester at the Institute for Advanced Study, Poplars 332.
