Proposals for Papers and Panels

We invite anyone interested in the new and the long-standing commons to participate in the conference. We encourage scholars and practitioners to submit panel, individual paper, and poster proposals early. The panel, paper, and poster abstracts of less than 500 words should be submitted to the Program Co-Chairs, at iascp00@indiana.edu , at the latest by October 30, 1999. The final papers should be submitted by April 3, 2000. Please send a Word or Word-Perfect file as an e-mail attachment.

Multiple Submission Guidelines

In order to keep the participation at the conference as wide as possible, the program co-chairs discourage multiple submission for single-authored paper/poster presentation. Most professional associations and funding agencies require that a person presents a paper/poster at the meeting. Allowing multiple single-authored paper/poster presentations by one person would reduce the possibility for other participants to obtain funding to attend the conference. Therefore, the program committee will follow the below guidelines regarding multiple submissions:

  1. we CANNOT accept two or more single authored papers from the same person;
  2. we CANNOT accept more than two papers that have the same author as one of the co-authors;
  3. an author presenting a paper at a panel CANNOT be the discussant for the same panel; and
  4. an author presenting a paper at a panel CAN chair a panel.
