Ambassador Altangerel has a Master’s degree in International law and Political Science, and a Ph.D. in International law from Kiev National Taras Shevchenko University, Ukraine.  He has held various Mongolian government positions from Adviser on Foreign Policy, State Great Hural, to Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the Republic of Turkey, as well as Non-Resident Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to Bulgaria, Lebanon, Romania and Uzbekistan from 1997-2003.  He was Ambassador of Mongolia to the United Kingdom as well as Non-Resident Ambassador of Mongolia to the Republic of South Africa, Ireland and Iceland from 2008-2013.  Altangerel has been Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United States since January, 2013, and is also the Non-Resident Ambassador of Mongolia to Israel and Mexico.

*The Bridgewaters Lounge is located on the first floor of the Neal-Marshall Black Culture Center on the northwest corner of E. 7th Street and Jordan Avenue. Visitor parking is available in the Jordan Parking Garage, located just across Jordan Avenue from the Center.  Or you can take 7th Street to the Indiana University Auditorium.  Follow the parking lot on the right hand side of the Auditorium until you come to the patio and glassed in Bridgewaters Lounge.
