Commemoration of the 1848 Revolution in Hungary

Annually on March 15th Hungarians commemorate the Revolution and following War of Independence against the Austrian-Habsburg rule in 1848-49.
An IU commemoration program and reception will be held March 7 (held earlier than the 15th due to IU spring break), organized by the IU Hungarian Cultural Association and the Department of Central Eurasian Studies Hungarian Studies Program, with additional sponsorship from IUSA, REEI, and IAUNRC.
