“Environment, Wolves, and Socialism in Mongolia”
Kenneth Linden

I will share my thoughts on my current research, and plans for my dissertation research in Mongolia this summer. I will examine the Mongolian People’s Republic transformation of the relationship between humans, animals, and the environment. I will focus on my upcoming conference talk on wolf extermination campaigns. I hope to start a discussion on how environmental and animal historical research creates an opportunity to disentangle the many competing factors used to explain human-animal relations in Inner Asia and globally.
