Michael Morony "The New Social Order(s): Social and Economic Realities in the Early Islamic World"

Professor Michael Morony will be giving a lecture entitled "The New Social Order(s): Social and Economic Realities in the Early Islamic World." Professor Morony, of UCLA, specializes in social and economic history of the early Islamic Near East, particularly Iraq and Syria. He is the author of several books, including a translation of a portion of the History of al-Tabari, as well as a historical study on early Islamic Iraq.
