This fall the Indiana University Art Museum presents Threads of Love: Baby Carriers from China’s Minority Nationalities as part of its ‘Fall for Art’ exhibition program. These embroidered baby carriers from the minority nationalities of southwestern China are decorated with auspicious symbols connoting good luck, good fortune, happy marriage, and longevity, as well as images from the embroiderer’s imagination.
